Profhilo is an exciting new addition to the skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing injectable treatments we can offer at RC.

It is composed of hyaluronic acid gel, but it works differently to HA dermal fillers. It boosts collagen production to gradually hydrate and plump the skin, softening fine lines.

Rather than revolumise or fill as a dermal filler does, Profhilo works by adding volume throughout the dermis due to its ability to spread through the tissue.

Profhilo can improve skin tone and texture, revitalise dull, tired and ageing skin, increase firmness and elasticity by stimulating collagen production and softening fine lines and wrinkles. It is a fantastic treatment for men and women that have just started to notice the first signs of facial ageing and wish to maintain hydration, but can also deliver dramatic results for older patients.

Seventy Hyal 2000 is a bio-stimulating, injectable skin booster intended to help treat the physiological depletion of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) within the skin. The supplementation of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) delivers moisture-surging hydration whilst simultaneously stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin.

Seventy Hyal 2000 makes for the perfect skin rejuvenation treatment to improve skin texture and skin laxity whilst adding gentle volume. Aside from helping to influence the structural and functional elements of the skin, the main unique selling points are: to hydrate, contour and add glow. Seventy Hyal 2000 can be used for facial enhancements to create a radiant appearance or alternatively, it can be used to rejuvenate the neck area, décolleté and hands.

Please note: No needles are pre-packaged with Seventy Hyal 2000. We would recommend purchasing the BD Microlance (30G x 13mm) to use alongside this skin booster – available to purchase here.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin. Your healthcare provider uses thin needles to make tiny holes in the top layer of your skin. The damage helps stimulate your skin’s healing process, so it produces more collagen and elastin. These proteins keep your skin firm and smooth.

Most people get microneedling on their face, but you can also get it on your legs, back, neck or other areas where you notice damaged or aging skin. You’ll probably need multiple treatments to achieve your desired results.

Dermal Fiilers
How do dermal fillers work?

The main component of dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally produced sugar molecule in the body.  Dermal fillers are soft gels which vary in viscosity depending on the area of application: higher viscosity for areas with greater stability such as cheeks, and lower viscosity and more fluidity for more superficial areas such as static lines and lips. Once injected, the dermal fillers boost the level of hyaluronic acid, create volume and enhance definition.

Does it hurt?

Dermal fillers, as all injectables, can produce minimal to mild discomfort during treatment.  In a scale between 0, no pain, and 10, maximum pain ever felt, it averages between 2 and 4.  Pain will subside completely once treatment is finished.   Will offer you the opportunity to have topical anaesthetic approximately 15 minutes before your treatment .  They will both help eliminating or reducing the level of pain.

When will I see results?

With dermal fillers, results are immediate.  You will be able to see a flattering difference from how you looked prior to your treatment.  Initially, will let you know that there will be some localised swelling in the area treated which is completely normal.  This will go down and within 2 weeks and the area will completely settle down.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Depending on the area of application, dermal fillers can last between 6 and 12 months.  Will advice you on the timing and need for a follow-up consultation.

What should I expect during my treatment session?

During your initial appointment, you will discuss  what you would like to achieve through the treatment.   Will then take your complete medical history and perform a physical assessment of your face to gain important details about muscle activation, and current volume and elasticity of soft tissues.  You will then be presented with a treatment plan and will be able to discuss how to achieve your desired goals with dermal fillers.  Before your treatment,  will disinfect and clean your skin, apply some anatomical markings which will guide him during the treatment process and start the treatment.

Once the treatment is completed, will give you some post-care advice, including avoiding applying any cosmetic products within the following 24 hours and avoiding alcohol consumption within 48hours.

What is the difference between Wrinkle reducers and Dermal fillers?

Wrinkle reducers, such as Botox, target dynamic lines caused by the contraction of facial muscles.  They are the treatment of choice to reduce the appearance of severe to mild wrinkles.  Dermal fillers are used to restore volume and offer facial definition and are often used in the cheeks, chin and around the eyes.  However, when wrinkles become static, therefore their appearance is not only exacerbated by facial expressions but it is also present in a resting position, dermal fillers can be used to reduce the creases that have formed.  Some of the most common areas for dermal fillers treatment are marionette’s lines around the lower lip, smoker’s lines above the upper lip and the naso-labial lines between the nose and lips.
